FAQs

What dates does the service run for?

We are collecting trees for recycling on 5 Jan 2025.

Can you dismantle and remove my Christmas tree?

This is not currently a service we provide. Our team will only collect Christmas trees from an easily accessible and visible location at the front border on your property.

My tree is not pine. Do you recycle non-traditional trees?

At this moment we only take New Zealand pine trees that are up to 3 metres in height. If your tree is different, please give us a call to discuss options with our team.

What if I can’t leave my tree in the easily accessible location?

If your property cannot be accessed safely by our team for any reason (gated, dog etc) please advise in the notes and leave your Christmas tree tidily on the front berm ready for collection.

Can you pick up an artificial tree?

We only work with real trees. If you have an artificial Christmas tree that you no longer need, then below are some options:
Donating Your Old Tree – if you are planning to buy a new Christmas tree, best try to donate your old one. Other families, schools, and facilities may not have the means to buy a Christmas tree come the holidays, so donating yours to them seems like the right thing to do.
Drop-off – find ways on how to avoid putting your old, artificial Christmas trees in a landfill. Contact your recycling centres and try to drop off your old, artificial Christmas trees for recycling.
Repurposing Your Old Tree – put your creativeness to the test and find ways on how to reuse your old tree! Make wreaths or garlands, put your mind into it and try to come up with other ways.
